It's good to hear from you. It was lucky that I happened to log
in at SU-AI and saw the mail from you. I believe you can
send mail direct to CCRMA - but I don't know the route.

It is OK with me for you to use MSS for your paper. I would
be interested in seeing a copy of your output. I have done a
little plotting on a STROBE plotter (c.$500.) using data sent
over the phone line from CCRMA into my old TRS80-Mod I.
I have never been able to get the handshaking to work so all
the transmission from the TRS80 to the plotter was at 300 baud.
That's too slow to be useful. I'm sure I could run at least
at 1200 if I had some time to figure it out. My work with
the Tandy-2000 is progressing slowly but quite well. I'm
getting notes, etc. to display on it's 640x400 screen - quite
crisp. They don't give you much graphics support unless
you want to use BASIC. (I'm still writing in
FORTRAN, + 80186 assembly.) I guess it will take me a while
to write a good interactive graphics package. I'm sorely
tempted to switch over to compiled BASIC.

Saturday, Feb.23, Edith and I are off for a week in upper New York.
I will give lectures at Colgate, Cornell, and Hamilton College
and Edith will give one also at Hamilton. There will be a
concert with 2 of my works put on by the Syracuse New Music
group at Hamilton. See you later, Leland
